What we collect

ChicagoComedy.org collects minimal data. We use privacy-respecting analytics (server-side, no third-party trackers) to understand which pages are visited. We do not collect names, emails, or personal information unless you voluntarily provide it (e.g. signing up for email updates).

Cookies

We do not set tracking cookies. If you use features that require preferences (like location for “Near Me”), that data stays in your browser and is not sent to our servers.

Third-party links

Show listings link to external ticketing sites (Etix, Eventbrite, Ticketmaster, etc.). Once you leave ChicagoComedy.org, their privacy policies apply. We track outbound ticket clicks (which show, which venue) to understand what’s popular — not who clicked.

Data we aggregate

All comedy show data displayed on this site is publicly available information aggregated from venue websites, ticketing platforms, and public event listings. We do not scrape or store private data.

Your rights

If you believe we hold any personal data about you and want it removed, email privacy@chicagocomedy.org and we’ll take care of it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top. No surprises.
